Amazon has requested the Nationwide Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for a revote on its staff’ determination to unionize at its Staten Island warehouse in New York, Forbes reported late Friday.
Amazon has alleged the NLRB used techniques like voter suppression — together with solely have three voting cubicles for hundreds of staff — bribes and threats to get staff to vote to unionize, in line with Forbes citing objections filed by Amazon Friday.
Amazon and the NLRB did not instantly reply to a request for remark.
Warehouse employees in Staten Island voted final week to affix the brand new Amazon Labor Union in a US first, with the vote coming all the way down to 2,654 to 2,131.
