Amazon is slashing prices across its own-brand products for Prime Day, but one of the biggest savings in the second day of the sale is for its 2nd-gen Echo Buds earphones, which have had $50/£50 taken off the price.
That’s a big saving considering that the Echo Buds only start from $119/£109, and it applies to both the wired charging version and the more expensive wireless charging option.
In the US, it means the wired charging Echo Buds, available in either white or black, are now down to $69, a saving of 42%. If you’d rather a case that supports wireless charging it’ll cost you $89, down from a usual price of $139, for a 36% saving.
Savings are similar in the UK, though percentage-wise are technically a little better. The wired charging Buds are now £59, a 45% saving, while the wireless option costs £79 – a 38% drop from the usual £129 price tag.
The Echo Buds 2 only launched last year, so they’re still recent, and they impressed us enough to pick up 4 stars in our review. We found them surprisingly comfortable and loved the built-in, hands-free Alexa integration – and they even include active noise-cancelling.
If you’re in the market for true wireless earbuds but aren’t quite sold on the Echo Buds, Amazon also has aggressive discounts across the Samsung Galaxy Buds range in both the US and UK.
The latest Galaxy Buds 2 are down to just $99/£99, while my personal favourites, the Galaxy Buds Live, are even cheaper at $79/£69.
As a reminder, these are Prime Day deals, which means they expire at midnight tonight. You’ll also need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber to take advantage, but you can just grab a free trial to get around that without paying a penny.
