Best OnePlus 8 deals: Contract and SIM-free

OnePlus announced its latest handsets, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro at its launch event today. The phones are now available to pre-order as of 6pm BST today (14 April) and will start shipping 21 April in the UK. Prices start at £599.

The OnePlus 8 phones beef up on 7T specs. Aside from better cameras with a dedicated colour filter (and a fourth camera on the Pro model), both phones feature faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processors and 5G connectivity.

The 8 Pro gains IP68 waterproofing, wireless charging and a 120Hz refresh rate. We’ll spare you the tech spec geekery in this article, as we’re focusing on deals, but you can see our coverage here for everything there is to know about the new OnePlus 8 phones.

The OnePlus 8 range is available at different price points depending on the configuration you choose. 

OnePlus 8 8GB/128GB (Onyx Black UK; Glacial Green US): £599/$699OnePlus 8 12GB/256GB (Glacial Green UK; Interstellar Glow US): £699/$799OnePlus 8 Pro 8GB/128GB (Onyx Black UK; Onyx Black/Glacial Green US): £799/$899OnePlus 8 Pro 12GB/256GB (Glacial Green UK; Onyx Black/Glacial Green/Ultramarine Blue US): £899/$999

The phones are available in Onyx Black and Glacial Green only in the UK, while the US gets the additional colours Interstellar Glow and Ultramarine Blue.

You can also pick it up from John Lewis, Amazon and Three. Purchases from Three include a free pair of Bullets Wireless 2 headphones, worth £99 (while in stock).

Where to buy the OnePlus 8 on contract

Three is offering the OnePlus 8 on contract for £29 upfront and £44 per month. We’ll update this article with more details on its offer once it’s available.

If the OnePlus 8’s availability follows its predecessor, we also expect to see contracts from EE, which carries the OnePlus 7 and  7 Pro 5G.
